HW 1-5 (due 15 October 1999):
Solve problems 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 at the end of the first chapter. Pay extra attention to problem 2.

HW 6 (due 15 October 1999):
Consider the curve y²=x²(a-x)/(a+x), where a is not zero. Assuming that the underlying field is the reals graph the curve and also graph it at infinity in the projective plane.

HW 7 (due 22 October 1999):
Find out what the so called GAGA Principle is.

HW 8-10 (due 22 October 1999):
Solve problems 2, 3, 6 on page 131-132.
